a view from my friend - Ainaa huzveen.
Scrolling down social media sites while watching the news on numerous mediums have changed my view on how the people in Malaysia handle crisis such as the MH 370 incident. It is overwhelming to see thousands of people coming together, praying for the safety of the passengers of MH 370.
While most of us are showing positive response towards the safe return of the passengers, there are also alot of people who are condeming the incident and incorporating religion and political affiliation as the cause of the incident. This shows how narrow and uneducated some people can be. Either this incident is due to technical difficulties or human error, it is not something for us to condemn. The reports are still blurry as no official reports have been made.
What is needed from us humans at this point in time is to remain positive and to not start pinpointing to other people, religion or political affiliation. The captain as stated by another note posted on FB did his very best to take control over the plane, he was put to the test, one which maybe very little of us can pass. The test to work under pressure and knowing that the lives of hundreds of people are in his hands. So do not in any situation condemn him. He certainly did not sit down and look pretty while the plane was undergoing engine failure or whatever it may have gone through. I believe that the captain and co pilot tried to do all in their power to control the aircraft.
As for those who have related the incident of MH 370 to religious purposes, then shame on you my friend. Either you are a Christian, Muslim, Buddhist or Hindu, the religion that you and I believe in is a very sacred and beautiful religion. And no matter if you believe in Allah or God, your religion taught you to treat other religions with respect.
So why would a very little of social media users tend to relate the incident to being a punishment of God for those who do not believe in Jesus and that the passengers would be safe if they turn to Jesus? And some saying that this is the punishment for Muslims on what they have done on the 9/11 incident. Since when did this incident turned into a religious dispute?
Christianity and Islam as well as other religions are considered as a beautiful religion and it has never teach their believers to criticize or disrespect a certain religion. We shouldn’t stereotype the whole religion based on a few believers who make their own rules. This unfortunate incident is supposed to bring us together and not divide us by religions. If your mom, dad, brother or sister is the one who is on the aircraft, would you still say that? And how would you feel when people say those things to you?
So in these times of sadness and confusion, let us all pray for their safety and May Allah, God, Krishna or which ever God we believe in safe them.
How does a plane just… Disappear?.. I just hope they find the plane. There are children on that plane. Dear god, just help them to find the plane. It’s honestly terrifying to hear a plane just disappear.
Come back home, #MH370. Memories of being an intern at a foreign airline company (Ironically, the parent company had a fatal crash in 2009) at the airport brought me to some short, but similar deep conversations with senior officers I met; “I have been here for so long, that I have witnessed possibly all the best and the worse situations (examples were given). If and when something happens, (feelings) it is indescribable.”
imagine our family member is one of the passenger. it was so sad that the aircraft was missing. and indeed the most mysterious thing that have ever happened. let us pray for all the passenger.
"PLEASE DO PRAY FOR MH370"
a moment of silence for 239 missing souls
anything could happen when you are up in the air. no one is to blame in this very matter. it all came down to fate after all.
